Jeff Doane has been appointed as the new Chief Commercial Officer of Omni Hotels & Resorts. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Doane brings extensive expertise from his previous positions as a senior executive at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International and, most recently, as the Chief Commercial Officer at Accor North America.
Doane will have a direct reporting line to President Kurt Alexander. His main responsibility will be to manage and implement Omni’s comprehensive commercial strategy for their hotels and resorts in the United States and Canada. This includes overseeing various marketing functions such as brand and tactical marketing, public relations, partnerships, social media, and digital platforms (omnihotels.com). Additionally, he will be in charge of supervising Omni’s global and hotel sales teams, revenue management, the Select Guest Loyalty program, and distribution and customer service.
Doane’s appointment holds great importance due to Omni’s substantial investment of more than $2 billion in its portfolio during the past five years, along with a committed allocation of $1.5 billion for portfolio enhancements over the next five years.
Kurt Alexander expressed his excitement in welcoming Jeff to the Omni family, highlighting Jeff’s expertise in leading successful teams at renowned brands such as Fairmont. This valuable experience is expected to contribute significantly as Omni Hotels & Resorts aims to enhance its brand position and stand out in the market. Kurt Alexander also emphasized that Jeff’s addition, alongside the recent appointment of COO Vince Parrotta, underscores Omni’s dedication to hiring top-tier professionals.
Doane consistently exceeded top-line revenue targets, increased loyalty membership, and gained more market share year after year during his senior leadership positions at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International and Accor.
Doane actively participates in the industry through involvement on the HSMAI CMO and Foundation Boards, as well as the US Travel CEO Board and the Plug & Play Hospitality Vertical Advisory Board. Doane obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
